Wait a minute! Where did CoastlandTampa Church go? Well, the church has left the building. Namely, we will at least for now put a pause on the Sunday morning gatherings at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The financial costs involved in continuing at this facility are staggering. Wisdom dictates we make a strategic shift in what we have been doing with our weekend gatherings. Though we have had great momentum, we do not have abundant finances or leadership in place to move forward as we are, without wearing people out needlessly. Sundays--Beginning Sunday, May 18th, we will get together at the Sjogren's place in Lithia at 10:00 A.M. The address is 5207 Ternwater Pl., Lithia, 33547. There is plenty of room here to gather close to 100 adults.
We will gather for:
- worship (one of the things we can give God-our thanks and praise)
- teaching (... practical stuff that is a bit more interactive than you've been used to!)
- time to hang out (we'll be able to share a meal afterwards now and then since there is ample room - even do baptisms in the pool!)
SeaKidz Children's Ministry (age 3 months through 5th grade) will be meeting about a block away. We will continue with the same great children's curriculum. Small gatherings will be birthed out of the Sunday morning meetings, and will meet around the Tampa area (looking for host homes). In addition to some general growth groups, we will begin with some targeted for women, budding writers and those who want to grow in worship leading.
Training events will be sponsored and led by local leaders from Coastland as well as brilliant out of town equippers / leaders who are highly skilled, engaging presenters. A calendar of these topics, speakers, dates and locations will be posted as the schedule unfolds. Give it all away! Okay, we won't give everything away, but you get the idea. We are all about generosity, serving, and planning outreaches for the warm weather: car washes, water give-aways, and more! Men, women, kids and dogs welcome! Let's brainstorm about how we can serve our city. Let’s learn together how to be a church that lives out distinctives like Profound Generosity, Profound Acceptance, Profound Devotion to Change The World, Profound Love for those in Need and Profoundly Diverse Community.
